Hello!
What's sad about artistic expression, is that you have the right to express yourself in the way that you want, but you can't control how your message is recieved by an audience of millions.
It is almost trivial to misinterpret a message in any way, no matter how evident the intention.

Israel calls us “human animals,” never understanding that our bond with animals is the deepest proof of our humanity, writes Hend Salama Abo Helow in an op-ed. Like all of us Palestinians in Gaza, our animals have been displaced, starved, bombed, & terrorized, yet we refuse to abandon each other.

People discovering the "alt right" JUST NOW is absolutely mind-blowing to me

I keep my Bluesky in bright-mode to mentally separate it from Twitter's dark-mode.

Feels appropriate

Wonder if it's a total coinkidink, knowing neurodivergets are known for out-of-the-box being, often leaning towards specialization, creation, expression, research, that the fascists have locked their targets on that particular group.

I like the expression "pish posh!"

Haven't drawn dinos in a while, I'm gonna! Not yet, got other stuff on my plate, but till then - Embasaurus minax, in all its dubious glory!

Interesting how efficient we humans can be at wandering long distances with our upright bodies, untill we encounter a steep slope, with rocks and stuff, and suddenly we're faced with mortal peril, where most other animals would just hop onward

I have said before, and will never relent; if you are an informed person, and still use gen AI to promote a pro-humanitarian point, you cannot possibly be sincere.

Gen AI destroys humanity, and if you know as much, there are no excuses, you can't use it "even a little" OR "for a good cause"

So weird to think of George R. R. Martin as some sort of authority on Elden Ring lore

Yesterday I learned on the radio that Norwegian kids don't really believe in equality, and that they blame feminism.
The report then suggested that some observers have made corellations between their attitudes and far right trends on the internet.

We're only 10-15 years behind, could be worse.

Artists have always loved to sketch!

Sketch of a sparrow from Egypt dated c. 1479–1458 BC.

Some 3,500 years ago in Egypt, artists used small flakes of limestone as sketchpads!

sad to see how prevalent AI-pictures are on here too, entire communities of "synth art" (block, block, block everyone i see!) but also liberal-minded accounts sharing political "cartoons" made by AI. I don't get it - you get to contribute in destroying humanity, to make fun of Trump?

I don't understand authors who add "listening lists" to their prose

I would be embarassed to share all the random shit I listen to while writing, besides... I'd be genuinely excited to know what OTHER music, genres, tracks, ost someone would add to MY story, that *I* would not even have guessed!

Would different languages inject more data into a haiku, considering different languages treat syllables differently, in terms of sheer data delivery?

For example, a Finnish haiku would barely get past a greeting, before ending

The youtube "react"-sphere is so weird, like - there's a whole genre of Carribean people (usually women) reacting to various metal bands.

Everybody trying to correct Steve Buscemi's own name for him

What makes "Killing in the name" such a near-perfect protest song, is that by the second verse - everybody knows the lyrics!

Lol, people will just go right ahead and put "analogous art, made by hand!" and still just feature AI art, not even camouflaged, just absolutely flagrant, with all quirks and weird artifices.

I'm still puzzled at the kid in the badlands, in Jurassic Park. Where were his parents? Why did everybody let Alan just do his little "lesson"?
Worst of all - the kid agreed with him! The kid said it looks like a turkey! Yes, exactly, it does look like a turkey, and it isn't even very scary!

There's a youngling magpie showing up on my balcony twice, and I can't imagine how it knows *this is the place* (for unsalted nut snacks, I gave them early spring, for fattening/nesting purposes; this one would not have been born yet) unless it was told or shown by its parents
