i was 14 & always had a thing for sharp, shiny stuff & transgressive art. my sibling had a tattoo that i was obsessed with, and they egged me on. this was over 20 years ago so the whole process still felt opaque, dangerous, and buzzing with magic. also, ppl doubted me and i had to prove them wrong.
