I plan to incorporate nutrition in my role as a future health professional by discussing what to look for while grocery shopping and how to understand labels. This will help patients make better choices with their eating habits by being more knowledgeable while shopping. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

I love anything seafood! But, I have never tried crawfish and the nutrition profile looks great. That will be on my bucket list this summer.

One thing i’m going to look for in any nutrition post before i take it as a fact are credible sources. Lately, I’ve been loving honey glazed salmon which I make in the air fryer with white rice using rice cooker! it’s a quick and delicious meal @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

I completely agree, small changes are the key to making an impactful difference to one’s diet. Something that I started doing differently was using sugar free creamers for my coffee and being mindful on how much I am using. #beh353 @beh353.bsky.social

This is so true, it reminds me of the Cobb Salad from Chick-fil-a actually being the item with the most calories on the menu. We must be mindful of the dressings we use on our salads.
Salads can be super healthy, or sneaky junk food in disguise. Creamy dressings, fried toppings & sugary add-ons = calorie bombs. Go for dark greens, grilled protein, fresh veggies, and healthy fats. Build smart, eat fresh! #Salads #nnm www.webmd.com/diet/ss/slid...

James Corden’s statement that fat shaming is not an effective method to weight loss, but is just bullying really stuck out to me. There are many reasons why one may be over weight, such as genetic or environmental factors. Fat shaming is just ignorant and unnecessary. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

I love finding recipes that are quick and easy to prepare. As a college student it can be hard to find the time to meal prep and prepare meals that pack all the nutrients needed. I will be trying this! #beh353

A barrier that I am faced with is the lack of time to prepare healthier meals. As a student who commutes, i do not have much free time to plan and prepare my meals. Therefore I will usually eat foods that are easy and quick to access which aren’t always the healthiest. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

A dietary supplement that I have look into are Chlorophyll drops, usually mixed with water. It became very popular a few years ago to promote weight loss. And I have seen that there are many other benefits such as improving acne, reducing inflammation, and boosts energy. @beh353.bsky.social #Beh353

Juice cleansing is a diet in which one only consumes juices from fruits and vegetables. I could see where the benefits come in because fruits and veggies have many nutrients, but I wonder if the lack of fats and proteins in this diet would be more harmful than beneficial. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

This sounds so yummy! I love pasta and switching to plant based pasta is a great way to make the dish more nutrient dense. More nutrients from the veggies and less empty calories. I can’t wait to try this! #beh353 @beh353.bsky.social

I drink an iced coffee almost everyday. Lately I have been considering making my iced coffee more nutrient dense but switching the creamer/milk for a vanilla protein shake. I can add my espresso into the protein shake to reduce my sugar intake and increase my protein. @beh353.bsky.social #beh352

Tracking what I ate in a day was easy because I used an app that helps to log your meals. What surprised me about what I saw was how many calories condiments can have, with no real nutritional value. It’s easy to consume a lot of empty calories with condiments. #beh353 @beh353.bsky.social

What stood out to me was how common it is to come across misleading headlines and articles. My main takeaway was to always do further research when reading a headline by investigating where the author got their studies from and if the study is easy accessible. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353
