The part about SooMighty being insanely high is true, and also the reason why he went for repeated snapbacks while comboing Sentinel. Dude was too blazed to remember he had already fucked on the other two characters

Fighting games are the same way. They were more popular when they provided an extremely different experience than other games around them and while you can argue that's still TECHNICALLY true, pragmatically, other genres have taken audience fighting games were imperfectly serving. You cant undo that

It's wild to me that even though the RPG world has largely accepted that "certain games do certain things and it's okay if that's not your bag, just go play something that is" that for some reason 4E is the _only_ game it's simply not valid for people to not enjoy.

I actually used cardboard stencils to recreate these underlighting effects for some of my artworks.
Cut out the stencils, slapped em in front of my PVM, took a photo and composited it in PS. I really need to do these effects again, especially now that I got a access to a plotter

I really love the way that Tomato Soup (that's the artist's name) does fabric-patterns-as-screentones, with the bold use of right angle orientation, ignoring clothing folds (the "SHAFT effect"), etc...
The use of inks and patterns in this comic (A Witch's Life in Mongol) is just superb.
