🏫 I will be teaching a graduate-level intermediate statistics course covering factorial ANOVA, within-subjects designs with repeated measures, and non-parametric tests. If anyone is open to sharing their syllabus or any course materials, I would greatly appreciate it. @aera-motsig.bsky.social

Going through #MCLS25 programming is giving me big FOMO. Have fun y’all! I’ll catch up with you next year in Italy (maybe 🥲)!

I’ll be teaching a undergrad level course on achievement motivation this summer. I’m wondering if folks in the @aera-motsig.bsky.social are open to share their syllabus and assigned readings if they happen to have taught a similar course before?

A manuscript I reviewed this week contained at least 3 references to articles that don't exist! I'm not sure I would have spotted them if I hadn't recognized one of the referenced authors and searched for the article. I even texted them to make double sure and indeed. Careful out there, folks.😱 #AI

Can someone make #SRCD a 5-day conference just like #AERA? I’m experiencing FOMO big time when putting together my conference schedule.

Attending #AERA as a graduate student for the last time, I’m leaving with gratitude, courage, and hope. The community is stronger when we stick together. ❤️ See some of you at #SRCD25.

I’m going to give my FIRST talk ever at AERA tomorrow morning during a Div C symposium on parents’ academic socialization. Thinking about presenting the study closet to my heart to the audience to which I call academic family hypes me up! Come and find out what I’ve been working on!

We are all very excited to present what we have been working on!
So excited for members of the Motivation and Academic Choices Lab to present their work at #AERA2025 this year! Please come check out what we have been working on.

Academic friends, is there a way to filter #SRCD25 program by section/interest group?

I'm prepping a new grad course on the credibility revolution in psychology - focusing on challenges and best practices in methods and measurement - and I'm looking for exciting new papers to add to the reading list. What have you got for me, Bsky? Self-promotion is highly encouraged!

Last week, I successfully defended my dissertation. My most sincere appreciation goes to my mentors, colleagues, friends, and family members. I have learned so much in this journey, but I feel even more excited about what I would learn from the journey ahead!

I’m not sure which is worse—universities canceling PhD admissions or accepting PhD students who will end up without any funding.
At least 12 universities now have hiring freezes and nearly 30 have cut PhD admissions this year

If you hear of other places you can add them to this google doc:
I created a brief spreadsheet of reductions I've heard of so far. Any additions you know of (especially if you have the links/receipts) would be great: docs.google.com/spreadsheets...

I learned a lot about different STEM careers from students’ responses while working on this paper! Thanks @emilyqr.bsky.social for leading the charge!
We know a lot about STEM attrition, but tons of students change career plans WITHIN STEM. Who are these students and what motivates their career plan changes?

I'm happy to share a new publication at Journal of Educational Psychology, which examines this topic. (1/5)

Thinking about uninstalling Twitter/X, now that a good portion of the ed psych community has moved over here 🤔
