I think it's illegal under US and international law, and the people of this country could put a stop to it if they wanted to. That's why it's an "illiberal" democracy: Because enough people actually support this.
And voting can stop it, which is why we're not a fascist state.
And this, I guess, is just "illiberal" if you want it to be?

While I don’t totally agree, I do think many “leftists” would be well served studying the New Deal coalition

And with regards to abortion. Total agreement, pro life people that share other Democratic values should be welcomed. Same with gun rights but Democrats aren’t as left on those as portrayed
I find it so oddly refreshing to be someplace with a cohort of people so far to the left that they find it objectionable to say that the Democratic Party has moved to the left over the past 50 years.
This is a very weird way too describe the neoliberal takeover. And by "weird" I mean "deliberately incorrect."

Trump openly praising communism and totalitarianism.
Trump: "You have a great partner now in the US, getting you started. You'll have everything done quickly. Record time. Much faster than any other country other than maybe China. In China you have a good system also. You have one where President Xi can approve it immediately. So that's even faster."

There’s no reason to be flying our flags half-staff here in Oregon for unelected MAGA agitator Charlie Kirk for any amount of time, let alone 4 full days, especially when he advocated for Portland to be invaded along with other sanctuary cities & hated LGBTQ @tinakotek.bsky.social @wyden.senate.gov

All of this is correct, though? Kirk was a bigot. He hated the marginalized. If it was you instead of him he would laugh. He was a terrible man.

To be clear, am I supposed to pretend to be upset a Nazi was killed? Because I can’t do that.

Now the high school shooting in Denver on the other hand.
Spencer Cox: "Our nation is broken. We had political assassinations recently in Minnesota. We had an attempted assassination on the gov of Pennsylvania. And we had an attempted assassination on a president. Nothing I say can unite us as a country. Nothing I can say right now can fix what is broken"

Why doesn’t Trump support a fellow communist?
REPORTER: Are you encouraging any candidates in the NYC race to drop out to clear the field?

TRUMP: No. I don't like to see a communist become mayor, I will tell you that. And I don't think you can win unless you have one on one.

It’s more about vibes
QUINTANILLA: When do you think markets can get its hand on written documentation on the deals with Japan, UK, Vietnam, Korea?

LUTNICK: You're not gonna find a big long 250 page trading agreement

So both Putin and Trump went to an AF Base in Alaska. Each had a set of demands. Trump accepted all of Putin's demands and then said he would convince Ukraine and Europe to accept them. And both then went home. Do I have this right?
