잠깐 영국에 있을때 반려인간이랑 피쉬앤칩스 탐험을 하러 다닌 적이 있다. 처음 갔던 가게가, 더럽게 맛이 없었다. 우리는 단지 영국이 처음이라 잘못된 가게에 갔을 뿐이고, 분명 제대로 하는 현지인 맛집이 따로 있겠지...싶어서 열심히 검색해서 여러 가게를 탐험하기로 했다. 네 군덴가 다섯군덴가 먹어보고나서 우리는 더 탐색할 필요가 없다는걸 알았다. 이 새끼들은... 과거의 맛없는 레시피를 유지하는 것에 혼신의 힘을 쏟고 있는 듯함... 현대의 발전된 기술, 재료, 상황에 맞추어서 더 맛있게 만들 의지 자체가.. 없다...
