According to his people at Social Security, this requirement will reduce fraud by an amount equal to 0.007 percent of spending. It will likely also keep hundreds of thousands of eligible people from getting benefits. It's pretty MAGA!

TikTok is using platform power on Trump's behalf. What does that mean? My new piece in @goodauth.bsky.social goodauthority.org/news/tiktok-...
TikTok is deploying platform power in unprecedented ways.
TikTok can now create a narrative in which the incoming U.S. president has saved users’ freedom to create and share what they want.

A REALLY good explanation for what didn't just happen and what did.

It is also false that the former spooks said the hard drive bore "'the classic earmarks' of a Russian disinformation campaign."

They said it bore the earmarks of an info op.

Different thing.

Also false that this was a laptop. It was a hard drive.

Note: This claims that "a federal investigation eventually confirmed the laptop had indeed belonged to the outgoing president’s son." That overstates what prosecutors said.

The ONLY thing said at trial was that it was linked to his iCloud. I know of no receipt, for example.

A real tell on who is a real journalist and who feels bound by using the word of their source on this Birthright Citizenship stuff.

Also note that Senator Padilla asked Pam Bondi abt 14A in her confirmation hearing and she dodged by saying she would "study it," accused him of giving her homework.

Reminder that Trump actually didn't declare martial law, much to the chagrin of many of his followers.
Meanwhile, a mere 6 weeks after he attempted a coup, Yoon Suk Yeol is in jail, indicted for his role.

Merrick Garland's failure on this front will forever be a stain on the Biden administration.

Honestly, it would be a fun project to demand NYT fix all their uncorrected "errors" about Trump, even as he's suing everyone.

The uncorrected error I'm pissiest about is a January 2019 story that suggested Manafort only shared polling/etc data w/Kiliminik in Spring

Remember, while the claims of broad money laundering re Jan6 ended up being baseless. TP did serve as a cutout for payments to Don Jr and Guilfoyle, among other things.
Last week the FEC flagged a 4-year-old filing from Turning Point USA's PAC for disclosing $104,000 in independent expenditures but only $725 in itemized contributions.

Impossible position for Johnson. He can’t pass funding bill because HFC folks will vote against it and he has no vote margin, so he has to get Dems. And the Rs will vacate him for it.

“We know you need us but we won’t help and we’ll fire you if you let them help.”
After the Speaker's vote yesterday
Chip Roy & 11 of his House Freedom Caucus cabal sent a letter
They still have "reservations" about Johnson
And "warning" of consequences if Johnson crosses them by cooperating with Dems again
If he does "he will immediately be motion to vacated" [sic]
