So, Starmer is going to be visiting Scotland more often in the months leading up to GE2026. Maybe the media could get off their arses and ask him these questions.

Scotland is literally a powerhouse, producing nearly half the UK's renewable energy and sending £billions of our power to the south of England. Yet we pay the highest energy bills in Europe. It could have been different. It still could be. #IndependenceIsNormal

We've always said that the bigger risk is not re-gaining independence - it's staying in a bankrupt union.

Independence isn’t some abstract ideal—it’s the tool we need to tackle real issues like the NHS, economy, and energy bills.

It’s not independence OR public services—it’s independence FOR public services.

Let’s connect the dots between what matters now and how we gain the power to change it.

Yes, brilliant.

Let's all gaze at our navel for a while while the far right continues its ascent to power in a parliament we can't control, but which will control us.

What possible better use of our time could there be?

Alba's Kenny MacAskill has called for a public inquiry into the handling of misconduct claims against Alex Salmond.

The comments follow a @heraldscotland.bsky.social interview in which the ex-Justice Secretary said he would "never forgive" Nicola Sturgeon.

Across Scotland, the conversation has already begun — not in parliaments, but in homes, communities, and hearts.

This isn’t about asking for permission. It’s about recognising that we’re ready — and we’ve already started moving.

"...got given BACK..."

Fixed that right up for you Jamie.
Yer welcome.
I am a convinced devolutionist. However, we need more transparency around how the Scottish Government spends its grant from the UK Government.

Last year, the SNP got given the largest devolution settlement in history and I want the Highlands to see our fair share of it!

Here’s an illustration of what the different weighting approaches do to the % #indyref2 Yes vote. On average using 2014 weighting suppresses Yes by 4pts.
Not sure why Norstat has recently started showing a Yes lead, but that skews things a little.

It’s so encouraging to see ministers placing independence at the heart of the conversation — not just as a constitutional goal, but as the key to a fairer Scotland.

When those with reach speak clearly, it lifts the whole movement. This is how we build momentum — together.

I spoke to @scotnational.bsky.social about Scotland's fairer approach to social security, my frustration over the inadequacies of the Union & how we could do so much more with the full powers of independence.

This should be at the heart of every debate about Scotland’s future.
EXCLUSIVE: Scotland's social security system is a 'shining example' of how things could be different under independence, the Social Justice Secretary has said.

Our approach to social security based on "dignity, fairness and respect" is a “shining example” of how the country could choose a different path through independence, a minister has said.

“If we had our independence, we could be doing that on a much bigger scale.”

The question for an independent Scotland isn’t whether this kind of statement is nonsense. It is.

But why do so many men believe it?

If we don’t create a society where everyone feels seen, supported, and part of the future, someone else will offer them grievance instead.

It's time to be different

In this specific way, the UK functions as an authoritarian state.

What else do you call a system where a government says:

“You can vote for your party — but we’ll veto parts of its manifesto.”
“You can have democracy — just not the kind that lets you leave.”
