USAID officials were ordered to destroy classified documents, raising concerns about compliance with federal law. An internal email sent to remaining bureau leaders at the agency’s Washington headquarters provided guidance on “clearing our classified safes and personnel documents.”

Infant mortality increased along with births in most U.S. states with abortion bans in the first 18 months after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, according to new research. Babies who were Black, lived in Southern states or had fetal birth defects died at the highest rates.

Any claims about California taking more than its fair share of FEMA aid are blatantly FALSE. California has had the most natural disasters of any state in the last ten years, and still is only fifth on the list of FEMA aid recipients.
