Called and spoke with Adobe customer support and the guy told me Adobe is discontinuing Animate because apparently the company can't think of any new features to add to the program and they feel it's gotten stale.

Very trivial, but I made a cool bedside table for my daughter that perfectly fill the spot between the chimney and her bed. Now to fill it with books and comics.

we're getting all the downsides of cyberpunk (social alienation, ruthless hyper capitalism, digital mass surveillance state) but none of the promised upsides (cheap street food, cool jackets, super drugs that make you really fast and strong before they kill you)

Somebody reached out to me this week to share with me his dismemberment fetish regarding our characters from the latest tv show I worked on, and was adamant that we try in season 2. Maybe, just maybe a show aimed at 6 years old is not it my dude.

Data is correct, causal agency is (IMO) incorrect.
The vast majority of ppl who use AI to make images and video have never touched and would never touch Photoshop/AfterEffects/Illustrator/etc. The issue is Adobe trying to squeeze its users with subscriptions, and other customer-hostile behavior.
