I think I need to try and see more of Eastern and Northern Europe if possible. Germany is deceptive as it was Bavaria and I think a lot of Germans would say that doesn't count...

Skechers do a work shoe range. I was given some for xmas and I've found them really good. Very comfy. They've got small holes for breathability, but they aren't full holes to the outside. I'd say they'd be good enough for anything short of the type of fluid immersion that you'd want wellies for.

I guess this depends on whether you mean the last picture I took where the car is the subject, or the last picture that prominently features a car(s) even if they aren't the subject....

While AQOTWF (2022) seems to go with the idea of making Baumer's death futile by having it occur at the very end of the war, as the armistice comes into effect, while the novel doesn't say when he dies, just that the dispatches didn't feel that any fighting worth mentioning happened that day.

While the series seems to go with the idea that some folks would very willingly destroy the world for their own ends. Which is very valid, but not really what the games were getting at.

Like, the idea that it doesn't matter who fired first, because the result is the same regardless was kind of a key thing about why the games didn't reveal that information. It's making the point that it doesn't matter.

Seeing folks talk about it has reminded me that the Fallout series' reveal about the start of the 2077 war gave me the same vibes of "you kind of get the point, but have also really missed the point" that the end of the 2022 version of "All Quiet on the Western Front" did.

Had my blood test. The nurse was lovely. According to other folks on the same pathway I've now got a two to four week wait for the actual initial appointment. (Deleted the previous post because I wondered if Bsky was burying it because of the silly term I'd used for having my blood taken).
New bloods appointment for New Year's Eve. Still half expecting that informed consent model that the clinic uses is going to go out of the window with my stressed-out liver.
Realising I missed an appointment for a HRT blood test because the clinic sent me an e-mail for an appointment the following day that went into my spam is pretty frustrating. That's said, I couldn't have gone even if I'd seen it because it was at school pick up time.

Apparently he drives racing trucks professionally? Not exactly chill, but if that's your passion then using your child star money as a way into a sport with a famously high financial barrier to entry seems like it worked out well for him.
