I like being a columnist because I don’t have to play make-believe like this.
GOLDMAN: “.. With control of both chambers of Congress and the White House, Republicans are in a position to pursue policy measures to shift sentiment ahead of the election. .. The most obvious policy lever to pull would be tariff reductions.”

It is international law 101 that a military blockade is not just a violation of the UN Charter, but a crime of aggression.

Unless that blockade is in response to an 'armed attack.'

None of President's Trump's list of complaints come close to an armed attack.

You can't make a good faith argument that social media is responsible for what individuals post. It's legitimate to claim that some social media sites have really shitty algorithms that can amplify some really shitty content. It's a distinction with a difference.
I see this argument made all the time and it's embarrassing for CCDH to keep making it, because it's a lie. Section 230, what they're talking about, does not give anyone a "get out of jail free" card. It simply puts the liability on the party who actually engaged in the violative behavior.
"Without checks and balances, [social media companies] have become a little bit tyrannical, very arrogant, and completely dismissive of their impact on our society."

Still in awe of the people of Chicago. Trump and his party spent so much time trying to get them to give him some sliver of fake reason to do the insurrection act, and there was so much discipline from the Chicago area: sustained resistance, while not giving trump what he wanted

Truly impressive

Trump chief of staff Susie Wiles says:

Trump “has an alcoholic’s personality” and is "score settling."

Vance only supported Trump for "political" reasons.

Elon Musk is “an avowed ketamine user.”

Russell Vought is “a right-wing absolute zealot.”

Also could be the absolute classic; the FBI convinced a bunch of losers to do a terror attack, including informants pushing them to make plans, telling them where to buy weapons and making "connections" with "arms dealers," and helping pick the target list.
I’m finding it increasingly hard to report anything delivered by “official sources” in the US. Could be true, could be a coverup, could be completely made up for nefarious ends.

It’s a country now where no one really has any idea what’s actually going on.
