Saw Andrea Bocelli today, bucket list item, but I'd never seen so many rude people in that type of event. I guess because he's "mainstream", but there were a lot of people taking photos and videos, with flash, throughout the performance, people murmuring, etc.

I often hold back from posting here because I feel what I'm thinking not an important or "valuable" thing, in contrast with the current discourse, but what made OG Twitter special was exactly the levity and authenticity of the posts we made 10-15 years ago.

I tuned out of this space almost 20 years ago and didn't keep up with any of these people since; a part of me is disappointed they didn't embrace women and human rights as the logical position to take, but another is going "oh. Well, yeah".
I’ve been making slow progress through this (a me-issue, not the video’s!) and it’s excellent; wide ranging and thought provoking. Apologies I do not know @shaunvids.bsky.social’s background but he’s done a superb job on myriad topics; understanding better than many public-facing scientists

I recognize the progress behind the fact that a bad day now is 2 slow sets of doubles with what used to be my PR instead of 3 sets, but I'm nowhere near content and have to do way better if I want to achieve my goals. The next 14 months I'm going to rethink everything I've learned to go beyond.
