Only 18 hours until the rest of my family comes home from an extended holiday so obviously I’m using my solo free time extremely effectively.

Fuck I missed Clipse so much. This goes so hard in the most mature way possible. Kendrick verse on ‘Chains & Whips’ is really something.

Really feels like the U.S. government is continuing to fail to heed the immortal advice to not immanentize the eschaton.

After spending a weekend with my 70 year old parents, 60 year old aunts, and 70 year old in laws almost exclusively for 48 hours I’m convinced there should be a law mandating an upper age limit for cell phone camera usage.

Have I been struck blind? My cursory viewing of the Apple OS updates across devices is being labeled as a “(massive) visual overhaul of the design language” by media but it literally looks almost exactly the same as it does now. Are we really at this level of corporate gaslighting?

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is an absolute masterpiece. The best “Final Fantasy” game in decades, and it’s not even made by Square.

Sandfall’s debut game has some of the most insane art direction I’ve ever seen.

Major Baader-Meinhof phenomenon vibes while sitting at home with a sick toddler who is watching Miss Rachel while I listen to Chapo Trap House and work and Chapo suddenly starts talking about Miss Rachel.

my new theory is that once you have a certain amount of money and wealth you start to go crazy and detach from reality. that number is different for everyone. for me it's $20

Is there anyone funny on here? Maybe someone from FinTwit with market takes? An edgelord troll with good memes? Cinephiles with movie news? Trying to curate a feed of something other than “Dems in Disarray” / “Authoritarianism is here - This is why” type content and I’m finding it rather difficult.

The season finale of Severance had to be the most bloated self-important inconsistently written piece of admittedly quite stunning filmmaking I have ever seen and Apple definitely deserves to continue bleeding $1B a year on Apple TV if this is what is getting past the gates.

It seems we have reached the point in late-stage capitalism where it is eating itself in installments.

It’s funny to think about how there have been two astronauts stuck in space on the ISS for NINE months and it doesn’t even track as a back page news item.

In the 20th century and early 21st this story would have lead the news every night with a 24 hour chyron day counter on CNN.

@darksidetheband.bsky.social has become one helluva psychedelic Moriconi-spaghetti-westernized latin and acid jazz infused rock band.

Incredible show tonight in Detroit, well worth the trip cross-country to see them in a room like the Masonic.

This piece by Kevin Roose is absurd. Whole article talking about how we need to “be prepared” for AGI and not a word about what that should entail. Also “consensus” on anything in SF is worth about as much as the human shit on my shoes from walking in anywhere SF.
