Pitch events are one of the joys of the online writing community. As Path2pub has always been community-oriented, this idea that celebrates writing and builds camaraderie was one we couldn’t shake off when it came up! Pitching Guide • #P2Ppit begins at 9am EST and ends at 9pm, on the 17th of January, 2025. • It will take place on both X and Blue Sky. • Add the hashtag #P2Ppit to your post to partake. • Writers can post 3 pitches in total. • Unagented, agented, and published writers can all partake. However please use the below hashtags for clarity: Unagented Writers #UW Agented Writers #AW Published Writers #PW • Moodboards are allowed, encouraged, but not compulsory. Adding ALT Text to images is highly encouraged. • Agents and editors can like tweets (♥️) to indicate interests. I’d pick Strega by Johanne Lykke Holm. It’s gothic perfection 🤌 I love this book because it explores coming of age and violence against women so well, without being gratuitous. This was truly written for the girls.

I posted this over on the Bad Place™️, but I wrote Aurea in 2020 partially as a reflection of the 2016 US election cycle, as in, "let's NEVER do that again," and remain so, so tired of realizing how few people care about other people. I will never stop writing about those who do. ⚔️ #writingcommunity

Nolly tried to mostly see the light: men throwing arms around stumbling friends to guide them home; a woman defending her husband’s breakfast from a persistent street hound; someone’s old-world flag hanging proudly. So much of Aurea really was golden, even if it could use the occasional polish. But Nolly still noticed the dark. It had an unmistakable skulk, an easy grin. She saw it in the guards leering openly down breezy blouses, the king’s unapologetic regulations, the shameless fences between the Crown and Middle Sektor—as though the common people’s cracked cobblestone and callused hands would bruise the silky skin on the other side. “When Erebus created Aurea,” her father had said, “everyone who thought as backward as him was free to crawl out of their swamp and shout until you couldn’t hear the rest of us.” Aurea was honest, but sometimes, honesty was hatred without its armor on.

I have barely been tracking my reading this year and it has been a huge relief. I’d guess I’ve probably read 30ish new books, reread 20ish, and DNF’ed at least 30… but I haven’t really been in any slumps or felt like I HAVE to read anything specific.

I have loved horror books and movies for as long as I can remember but never imagined I would write it. Since I started drafting this haunted house story last week, things are coming together so much quicker and easier than anything else I’ve ever written.

Someone told me that this app may seem very empty because of this default setting that requires replies to have 2 likes or more before they show up.

Indeed! I changed it so that all replies show up, and suddenly the place seems much more lively. I highly recommend changing it in your settings.
