He resolves to find what remains of the boy’s family and put it all behind him—but instead of taking him off Corado’s hands, his so-called “family” offers a new deal: escort them to the vampiric capital in exchange for a veritable fortune. Corado knows he shouldn’t. It’s a long, dangerous route, and the group has a smack of sedition to them that he knows firsthand to be a quick way to a bloody death. Almost 2000 words today. World building to flesh out the romance novel I started in November. Character profiles in LtM and chapter two edits/reworks. New Year, renewed motivation.
