This puts into words a lot of what I have been feeling.
Why am I so against generative AI in games?
Because I simply do not want my initial reaction to art to be one of suspicion and scrutiny, AI slop is fundamentally damaging my relationship to art and artistry, and I am deeply resentful that it is forcing me to be guarded when I should be wowed.

Very nice she apologized for "toxic politics"; but it's gonna take more than one vague generalized apology with zero accountability (which was only said once somebody was mean to her) for me to forget about everything else.

Went to Carnegie-Mellon Museum of Natural History in Pittsburgh to check out their herbarium with @botanicalbecks.bsky.social this week. Got spicy pork ramen at Fujiya Ramen in Oakland and it was awesome. Chewy noodles, great broth, great pork. Half egg was a downer, and the price was high. 7.5/10

Sourdough french toast filled with homemade raspberry mocha whipped cream and top this Saturday morning. Side of blackberries and crispy bacon. 7/10, whipped cream tasted good but needs some work on the texture side.

I've accepted that a LOT of Magic isn't for me anymore. The mantra of "This isn't for you, and it's okay." is valid and correct, and helps ease the FOMO.
However, it's hard to feel connected to the game when I have to repeat that mantra most of the time.
At some point, "most" might become "all".
