The responsibility looking after this starter must bring. I’ve seen, but never tried, methods to flake and powder sourdough starter to preserve it indefinitely. I’d for sure bank some of this heirloom in a dry, safe place for future generations. Imagine the gnashing of teeth if it died?😬
