Grief is a sneaky bastard. The day can be going perfectly then a smell or a sound or a picture. Too often the lack of smell or sound or the picture you can’t take.

Grief is a sneaky bastard.

"There’s unlikely to be any one moment when the dam breaks and Trump loses GOP support across the board. But there is a steady drip of frustration and dissent from within his own party that has weakened him and will continue to weaken him."

Everyone should read this today:
New in PN: Republicans in Congress show signs of life

"Amid the understandable despair, it can be easy to miss flickers of hope. But the fact is that the regime is ramping up violence and terror in part because its grip on the nation, and even on its own party, seems to be slipping."

He can just lie and say he's found God and it makes me sick knowing that's all it would take for them.

Fortunately, he's too pig headed to do that.

It's going to be sad to watch America finally rise up after three days of sugar withdrawals after all simple carbohydrates are outlawed under punishment of death.

Imagine for a second you're a patient in a hospital room (already fantasy to most of America), and the nurse is like, "The doctor will be right with you."

And he just opens the door like:
I thought this was a joke but it’s an actual post from the White House: “we are ending the war on protein”

How about ending the war on the health of this country?

I don't even know what that is, but I support you because if (the proverbial) they can just reboot the whole 1980s and 1990s...

I don't know who needs to hear this, but "disrespect" is not a defensible argument against murder and f*ck everything about this rotten ghoul's anus you festering gangrenous blithering sh*t stain of a mass of flesh.
Q: "Do you believe that deadly force was necessary?"

Trump: "It was highly disrespectful of law enforcement. The woman and her friend were highly disrespectful of law enforcement…Law enforcement should not be in a position where they have to put up with this stuff."

My melanin has afforded me the luxury of never trusting ol' Wooden Teeth George.

Which, fun fact, weren't wood and may have included the teeth of some of his enslaved individuals.

This chode getting the Nobel Peace Prize (for all its faults) would make as much sense as Nero being awarded sainthood.

It's like canonizing Nero as a f*cking saint.

The founders held humans as property. Maybe they were never all that infallible...

Yeah, he's one of the major "What the actual f*ck?" moments when learning about history they didn't really touch on in school. Even when they do, they never really dial in how inhumane these types were.

Unfortunately for us, we have many contemporary examples...

He's giving more Leopold II colonizing the Congo. Leopold was apparently a disgusting, filthy man who didn't bathe and hated even his closest allies. The parallels are hard to ignore:

In other words, Love can be something that is lost rather than something that is found.

The main problem is falling in love with the idea of a person/being rather than who they actually are and allowing that to develop without expectations.
January 12, 2026 at 12:03 AM
Love should be the prevailing expression towards all other beings, so I'd argue it absolutely does.

"Our" definitions of 'love' are too narrow, + our inability to separate it from romantic intimacy + our idealism is where the problem lies.

I've loved from first sight. Especially my cats + dogs.
Love at first sight doesn't exist.

Love requires building connection over a long period of time.
