Yeah, he's one of the major "What the actual f*ck?" moments when learning about history they didn't really touch on in school. Even when they do, they never really dial in how inhumane these types were.

Unfortunately for us, we have many contemporary examples...

In other words, Love can be something that is lost rather than something that is found.

The main problem is falling in love with the idea of a person/being rather than who they actually are and allowing that to develop without expectations.
