BREAKING: Yesterday Grand Theft Auto VI maker Rockstar Games fired dozens of people, all of whom were involved in union efforts. A British union calls it "blatant and ruthless" union-busting. Take-Two Interactive says it was due to misconduct.

Zohran Mamdani caught lying that he understood Plato’s allegory of the cave, yet when asked to explain it, he seemed to instead explain Baudrillard’s theory of Simulacra and Simulation where reality has been replaced by symbols and signs, which seems similar to Plato’s theory but is not the same

Last night I dreamt that I was spurting blood from a hole in my chest. I caught most of it in a bowl, and then felt the call/urge to take that bowl and pour it through a tall window with a red sill. No part of my body could physically cross the threshold, just the blood bowl.

"The roleplaying is the stuff the game DOESN'T need rules for, idiot" is such a ridiculously illiterate stance (in multiple senses) to hold in 2025, an era in which we have a veritable cornucopia of designer TRPGs to showcase that elfgames can be more than a combat engine draped in vibes

Increasingly I have come around to the perspective that "hackability" of TRPGs is not actually a positive of the medium and is instead an overall neutral aspect that often dips into the negatives when used to justify Bethesda-esque "it's fine that the game is bad because YOU can fix it!" stances
