The one thing I should have expected (but maybe didn’t fully understand) is that once you’ve been diagnosed with cancer, there’s no such thing as a “routine” check up.

Sometimes it’s hard to identify which part of the fkn mess is most disturbing. I’ve tried not to be overwhelmed by focusing on 1 thing. As an empathetic person, it’s impossible to drown out the sickening parts daily. Today’s atrocities are swallowed up by tomorrow’s… and the next day… and the ne—.
