Here to escape the dross of society on Twitter who think they’re about to usher in a new era in which they rule over us all. Public > Private interests all day every day.

Yes, when cooking I snap the spaghetti/linguini in half so it fits the pan.

It’s just better that way.

Edward Lucas is dead right. If Epstein had been British he’d never have been exposed. Our libel law is an ongoing disgrace.

Just try going after a Jeffrey Epstein in Britain
Huge legal costs and bad laws make it much harder to expose the rich and dodgy in this country

A new paper shows that less than 2 months of exposure to Twitter’s algorithmic feed significantly shifts people’s political views to the right.

Moving from chronological feed to the algorithmic feed also increases engagement.

This is one of the most concerning papers I’ve read in awhile.

Trump is about to announce his $10B resort on the Gaza seafront.

It’s all so painfully crass and beyond illegal.

The Republican Senators are absolute cowards for not preventing this. America is lost.

Brexit was stupid #217654378
In case you missed it ...
Here's proof that Brexit is directly responsible for the rise in net immigration. The simple truth is that we need foreign workers – and while EU workers generally came alone, workers from further afield need to bring their families with them. Otherwise, they won't come.

I think they misspelled “bored.”

Over the last 50 years, it's Tory Govts that have presided over the big falls in the military - and for the entirety of their 2010-24 reign of error defence spending fell below 2 1/2% of GDP.

Yet another issue they left Labour to sort out.

Not that one would realise that from the right wing media.

America = Freedom.

Freedom to espouse Nazi shit and to circumvent other sovereign states rules to keep your Nazi shit under wraps because your feels are hurt that people don’t like your Nazi shit.

The world feels like it’s in big trouble right now.

Imagine how bad this must actually be for such a precedent to be broken.

There’s good reason he was scythed from the royal family and presumably we’re going to find out. Well, the parts they deem acceptable for us to know anyhow.

Doubt we’ll ever get the full picture.
BBC reporting that Andrew Mountbatten Windsor has been arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office.

There is no precedent for a senior member of the royal family being placed under arrest in modern British history. A seismic moment for the monarchy.

Epsteins ranch has been bought by a MAGA loyalist.

Chances of this estate being searched by the authorities are less than zero.

The evidence will be disposed of long before anyone with a justice motive can get anywhere near it.

Brexit wasn’t a one-off rupture.
It was a choice to swap a seat at the captain’s table for a life raft beside the ship.

Now EU border controls tighten and truckers, farmers, exporters and shoppers pay the price.

We punished ourselves and chose
third-country decline.

Brexit Britain’s truckers bear the brunt of new EU border controls
For many British drivers who rely on frictionless travel to do their jobs, the new checks could spell disaster.

Sue Ellen Braverman is a turd that won’t flush.

It’s not just the public that have rejected her but her own party and Prime Ministers (twice)

She doesn’t appear to have got the message.

Deeply suspect a strong dunning-kruger element to this.
