Here to escape the dross of society on Twitter who think they’re about to usher in a new era in which they rule over us all.

Yes, when cooking I snap the spaghetti/linguini in half so it fits the pan.

It’s just better that way.

Marco Rubio is reportedly saying Maduro will stand trial in US courts.

Which means it’s now the US administration’s position that US courts can hold foreign presidents, but not the US president, accountable for crimes.

The thing is, the Venezuelan economy is essentially a corrupt autarky run for the whims of its disgusting authoritarian president so are we sure Trump hasn’t kidnapped him for tips?

The Peace [Of Shit] President
The slogan “Peace President” will need a brand refreshment.

FINALLY
The Government coming off X is the bare minimum and realistically at this point I think we should seriously be looking at taking enforcement action against the company, in line with the Online Safety Act and VAWG Strategy. I will be pressing the Government on this when Parliament returns next week.

Begs the question as to whether this was staged.

Maduro gets an out and lives to see another day. Trump gets his all important distraction and a “win” without a single American casualty.

Not sure why they’re claiming the US failed here. The US appears to have succeeded in what it set out to do.
Venezuela's Russian $6 billion air defence system didn't even go off, this situation is completely humiliating for Venezuela and for the United States which failed to topple a regime without air defences.

Maduro has overseen the largest refugee crisis in Latin America, and at one point the second largest in the world.
That still does not allow Trump to launch military attacks against a sovereign nation.
If the benchmark was the leader was an inhumane arse then everyone would be invading America.
Maduro is a brutal and oppressive dictator of Venezuela.

Trump has no legitimate legal basis for military action against Venezuela under United States or international law.

Both of those facts are simultaneously true.

There’s no way the US has planned for what comes next.

Maduro’s network of crooks and villains won’t countenance anyone that will take away their toys so what happens?

History tells us that a period of horrifying and bloody violence erupts.

Good for Reuters for changing their headline. Pressure works. Grok did not do this. Elon Musk did.

hey remember when a bunch of middle-aged drunk korean lawmakers climbed the locked gates to the national assembly to hold an emergency session after the president gave illegal orders to the military, all of which ended with said president being sentenced to prison

How is this any different to Russia invading Ukraine?

If Gianni Infantino was capable of embarrassment I’d say he would be feeling a little bit of it right now.

This is apalling, but what did we expect? Humans were always going to use AI for porn or to dream up new ways of killing one another.

This should have been foreseen and shut down with legislation backed by huge fines.

Let’s do what Denmark did and give everyone copyright over their own likeness.

Feels……………. abnormal.

The people who can’t read are expecting those who visit space to throw away their books.

100% this is driven by some religious zealot weirdo that is stashed away in the WH apparatus somewhere.

Suggest moving them from one room to another and saying you binned them.
Totally normal. Nothing to see here 😡

If you “accidentally, sorry guv” put sexually explicit material containing minors on the internet you’d be in jail so fast your head would spin.

Elon Musk though? He’ll rip another fat line of Ketamine and use a $1000 bill to light a candle. No police will knock on his/his chief programmers door.
“As noted, we’ve identified lapses in safeguards and are urgently fixing them—CSAM is illegal and prohibited,” xAI posted to the @Grok account on X...

When a system is controlled by someone as predatory as Musk, it will inevitably keep breaking 'safeguards' in outrageous and sick ways.

China's per capita emissions are now on par with the UK's.

China now generates energy from just solar that is nearly the total of India's energy use (from sources of energy).

So the China hawks who argue "Ah, but China!" can now be quiet.

We need our parameters reset.

We dance around the middle ground in this country. It’s ridiculous.

We either go full-bore for heavy taxation but grade-A public services or we go full-bore on low taxation and it’s every man for himself.

One makes the vast majority happy. One makes the rich happy.
'Every time we asked the electorate their opinion, vast numbers of them press the button clearly marked “Make things better”. Yet every time, things just keep on getting worse.'

Happy new year, everybody!
