The #showmeyourknits prompt this week is work in progress. Have I shown this before? The front and back is done now, just the sleeves remain. #19 shawl collared sweater from Rowan 1, knit in WYS The Croft. Didn't have enough for a full jumper in one colour so winging it with stripes

This week's #showmeyourknits is purple! 💜 I had to dig around a bit for this one, until I remembered I finished a WIP 🛠️ started by Mum 💐 She knit the body, I knit the yoke. She picked the georgous Claret wine 🍷 purple 💜 colour🌈

Urgh I hate #fastfashion I bought a leather laptop bag from Vida Vida. It arrived in the wrong colour and after three months the straps are coming undone. I need to spend some time hunting on Vinted I think... I need to carry my work laptop on the train 😬

Shower thought: I'm new to spinning and I'm an adult. When I started knitting I was a child, hence I had no idea how to acquire stash in a way that worked for future me. But as ab adult now, when I buy fibre I can do so in a way that'll work with my future plans and not against it.

This week's #showmeyourknits is cardigans! This is the Flora MacDonald by Sarah Dallas. I modified the neck to make it narrower and lengthened the body so it isn't cropped on me 🧶

I have quite a few yearly goals. One of them is to reduce my WIPs and knit from stash. I'm currently working on the sweetshop blanket which has been a WIP since last November. It's not my oldest WIP but it's just simple garter stitch and short rows, so it's not complicated...

For this week's #showmeyourknits it's DK. I shared this WIP on Instagram a while ago. It's going to be a 100 square version of the sweetshop blanket. Need to finish it 😅

My first ever socks from several years ago didn't fit. They have languished in a drawer. Today they shall be worn! I used leftovers to reknit the toes! Now they shall be worn in all their messy glory (I don't knit heels like that anymore lol)

Pulled these trousers out of the wash. Favourite trousers no less! Full of holes. I'm thinking to repair them. Do some darning in a matching navy thread. Then to thicken the weak fabric shashiko all over the back. But can't decide what colour to use. Yellow or brown? 🪡 #sewing #mending #shashiko

I usually buy my clothes secondhand online. But that comes with some risks. Risk #1 it might not fit! 😮 So my mending/alterations pile has grown a little out of control. Firstly, there is this green embroidered cotton top. The V is too deep for me to wear. So I fixed it! 😁 #sewing

I’m seeing heaps of knitters in the knitting feed not doing alt text on their images.

Remember that it doesn’t have to be super, super detailed, but it can also be useful for adding some extra info about your image that won’t fit in with the character limit!

I'm on my third #spinning single. I'm getting more of a feeling for it now. The video from #julianeve helped. I was trying to draft upwards with my unmade yarn trying to support my spindle... Which is why some bits were super thick! I draft sideways now lol 😅

Ok I've tried #englishpaperpeicing and I think it's probably not for me. I avoid Amazon and there are no quilt supply shops in my area and I can't cut a hexagon accurately to save my life. If only there were a UK-based online quilt shop that folk could recommend (hint hint) 🥺 🤣
