Sunday was always going to be about a response for the #USWNT. It was imperfect, sure, but the Americans went from silos and islands to a more collective, controlling win over Portugal. They also did it while providing another glimpse of the future. They were back to some version of themselves.
Moultrie and Co. get Hayes' team back playing 'the USA way'
For a team that prides itself on playing "the USA way," Sunday's 3-1 win over Portugal was a good response to Thursday's shock loss.
