This is not a plan for peace. It is a plan for Russian victory and Ukrainian capitulation, argues Christian Caryl.
Don’t Call This a ‘Peace Plan’
If the U.S.-Russia plan for Ukraine goes forward, Donald Trump will be remembered as the Neville Chamberlain of the 21st century.

One thing that is not getting enough attention is that Trump has normalized the idea of the United States supporting the transfer of territory and millions of people from a democracy to a dictatorship.
The ending of freedom for millions is now the official US position.

1) Start the worst European war since 1945 and commit every imaginable war crime
2) Decide how you want to be rewarded for your aggression
3) Leak the list of your desiderata to the US press
4) Wait for the US president to enforce your wish list on your victim.

It may sound cold or even cynical, but the primary measure of success in aid to Ukraine is not the number of refugees sheltered. As commendable as that is, the primary measure of success is the number of Russian corpses.

Hegseth wore a tie with Russian flags to meet with Zelensky.

Is he trying to send a message or is he just an ignorant idiot?

Or did his actual boss Elbridge Colby ask him to do it?
