The cowardly and self-serving failure to acknowledge and do anything to stop this constitutional crisis by @schumer.senate.gov is a betrayal of electorate and why he should resign. The Democratic voters are living taxation without representation and Chuck’s cool with that b/c until at least 2026.
A constitutional crisis won't go away because we don't acknowledge. Trump is impounding funds (unconstitutional) and then ignoring court orders.
At least 19 states, all of whom with Democratic attorneys general, presented “undisputed evidence” they were not receiving FEMA funds already appropriated by Congress.

GOP wouldn’t join because they know Dems are feckless and would give them a supermajority for their CR. They were right. You were played then or are trying to play us now. Either way, you’ve given away the only card you could have, with Trump’s thanks to show for it. Resign!
The Senate Democratic Caucus was unified on a ‘clean’ one-month CR that would have kept the government open and given Congress time to negotiate bipartisan legislation. I’m disappointed that our Republican colleagues wouldn’t join us in that effort.

Obviously a minor point in the scheme of things, but the use of the Canadian/Japanese/Scottish spelling of a spirit that Americans produce as “whiskey” is pretty amazing here.
Hope y'all have stockpiled your grand cru and brandy

Almost every Schumer post commits to the Dems not “stopping fighting” for some goal or constituent group. It’s a rhetorical slight of hand that conveniently ignores the lack of evidence they ever started.
Trump promised America a "Golden Age" on Day 1

It's Day 50, where is it?

Inflation is up
The stock market plunged
Pure chaos, no stability, total confusion

All thanks to Trump's tariffs to pay for tax cuts for billionaires

We won't stop fighting to stop these harmful tariffs

I’m starting to understand viscerally how the collaborators with Nazis and Fascists in WWII often engendered more disgust than the Nazis and Fascists themselves. The betrayal of assumed base principles hits differently than the blatant disregard of them. The duplicity is a slap in the face.
