He was 14. That “no one” he knew thought it was unusual for a grown man to be attracted to a teen who was his senior is why he wasn’t supposed to see the movie without parental permission.

As a college girl when that movie came out, everyone I knew thought that was creepy. Sketchy joke was men could date half their age+7. Didn’t make the cut. Maybe Hanania as a 14 yo took it as an instructional guide? Or he forgets that everyone who discussed sex with him at the time was a teen boy.

To be fair, they have not inferred with his signature policies of criming and grifting.

That sweet spot where he will take a bullet for you but won’t leave his wife…

The top experts of fascism and authoritarianism are using these terms, and they have written books explaining what they mean. Maybe not being fascist is the solution here?

A dude then attacked her personally and you piled on when she mocked him in defending herself. Which, yes, seems motivated by contempt and not anything she said or did. God forbid a NYT writer not be your whipping boy for the ENTIRE publication rather than her actual work! The gall!
November 13, 2025 at 11:50 PM
Here’s the argument—which she started: “I don't understand why people have to concoct wild conspiracy theories in order to critique the NYT. I say this as someone who writes for them: there is plenty to critique without making up wild scenarios and insisting they're true!”
November 13, 2025 at 11:32 PM
Did you even look at the full thread? She acknowledged reason to critique the NYT, dude jumped in with tangent to criticize her and told her to fuck herself, you pile on, she asks you for a substantive example, and SHE’s the one who “went straight to ad hominem attacks and quote tweets”? What?!
November 13, 2025 at 10:54 PM
Got it. I maybe misinterpreted some other commentary I read from her as making this point? It makes sense to me!

Sarah Kendzior has written about this.

You should let Bessent know since he’s confused about it! Ostensibly because he, as claimed in an interview, is a soybean farmer and is therefore only knowledgeable about the impact of tariffs on exports.

I guess that’s why you shook hands with Thune at the end of the day. Because you accomplished the MAGA agenda together through bipartisanship and civility, which are the only values that Dems care about.
November 11, 2025 at 4:57 AM
You secured a guaranteed loss on a vote. Which is another way to say that you gave the GOP just what it wanted. Congrats for this being your legacy!
November 11, 2025 at 4:51 AM
And, yet, it will pass because of your failed leadership.
November 11, 2025 at 4:47 AM
So you’ll be calling for Schumer and Durbin to step down from leadership since their lack of leadership is why you have no leverage to push for this? We’ve known Republicans don’t care about healthcare for 15+ years. Why don’t the Senate Democrats?
November 11, 2025 at 2:38 AM
The Republicans did hear them. The message was that Dems will vote with the GOP if they hold out. It’s a message that they’ve heard so many times they know it by heart.
November 10, 2025 at 7:05 PM
Call for a change in leadership or you’re part of the acquiescence. I’ve been asking my senators to do this for months, and the silence on the issue indicates you are all fine with the roles you get to play under Schumer.
November 10, 2025 at 4:00 PM
Bullshit. You are a failed leader of Vichy caucus. I’ve never regretted any vote more than the one I placed for you and will never give a dime to the Dems until they kick you out of leadership.

Jeanne Shaneen: ensuring Granite state citizens no longer have to choose between whether “Live Free or Die” by knowingly giving up the fight to make the first option affordable.

It’s funny how what you want doesn’t matter when you don’t stand up for it and actively undermine it!
November 10, 2025 at 3:52 AM
Jean Shaheen, MAGA Queen! Delivering everything to the GOP even while pretending it hurts her.
November 10, 2025 at 3:42 AM
If this is true, you’ve outed yourself as being the weakest willed person in the Senate chamber. And you deserve to be remembered for that. Jean Shaheen: Threw Obamacare under the bus when she didn’t have to and didn’t want to because she had no principles. A true MAGA icon!
November 10, 2025 at 3:38 AM
Are you a Schumer stan? If you want an incompetent leader, expect nothing of him, and are mad only at the “fkers” in his caucus who voted yes to take the fall for him, you do you. But maybe don’t tell others that they have to lower their standards to yours and spell out fuckers like an adult?
November 10, 2025 at 2:06 AM
I know he voted no. What does that matter? There are two possibilities: (1) he had others vote yes so he could vote no, (2) he failed to get Dems to vote with Dems instead of MAGA. He’s a failed leader. He needs to go. He needed to retire long ago.
November 10, 2025 at 1:55 AM
All who voted yes + Schumer + any Dem who stands behind Schumer as leader needs to go.
