Odd that the DoJ is opening an investigation into the Epstein files since they said in July that there was no client list and nothing to release.

Then again, maybe Mike Johnson is also in the Epstein Files and stopping the investigation was for personal survival

I suggest the opposite: instead of getting rid of billionaire-owned politicians, the Democratic Party gets rid of those who aren't. Kicks them out of the party.
They can go on with their lives on the outside. Organize, create movements, coalesce into new left-wing organizations, whatever.

Yup. I said this earlier today, but it was only a guess. Thanks for confirming it. It is no coincidence that of the 8 who came forward to do this, none of them are running in 2026. But they ran cover for some who are.

The D next to a name is fairly irrelevant. Wouldn't it make sense, before you vote, to find out which candidates are owned by which billionaire donors?

To all of those who thought that Tuesday's elections were about getting the Democrats back in power, and were gushing about yay Democrats, a great Democrat victory, fight, team, fight... oopsie.

No, it's not about Schumer and his compadres at all. As they have just proved.

Democrats were overwhelmingly united on their shutdown demands.

Americans understood that Trump and Republicans were to blame.

Voters made it known last Tuesday that they'll elect leaders who stand up to Trump.

Democrats held the cards — and folded for no reason.

Absolutely correct
American politics makes a lot more sense when you realize that the GOP is afraid of pissing off the GOP base, and the Dems are afraid of pissing off the GOP base, but neither party is afraid of pissing off the Dem base.

There are people who are so invested in Chicken Little, that maybe after he drops they'll prop him on a chair and continue doing business. Smell? What smell? Karoline, open the windows, please.

I don't remember any signs on Tuesday that said "Back To Business as Usual" or "Let's get back to the way things were before this shit started".
Or "Let Chuck Sleep"
Or "We want our millionaire-owned pols back in place"
