Two teens protesting for Gaza aid were dragged into the Egyptian UN building and beaten with chains. They were then arrested by NYPD, though they were the ones attacked and acted in self defense. The men at the UN said they were following Egyptian orders to grab protesters and physically detain

Canadian universities have started doing this too. My own sent out an email a week or two ago offering wiped laptops to borrow for people going to the US. (They should probably warn against US travel entirely, but...)

I think if you told a ten year old there was a chance of all this going on they’d make more sensible decisions around safer air and respies than most adults expect.

Not telling them and hoping thoughts and prayers will protect them is not enough.
