The December moth is truly moth-nificent! It’s one of the few species flying in winter 🦋

Fluffy and charcoal-coloured, it rests in woodland. Adults do not feed and live on energy stored as caterpillars 🌙

Which Christmas present giver are you? 🎁

🌟A lovely earth star found on a volunteer work party last week at Brampton Wood in Cambs.

🌳The star of the show in broadleaf woodland. It may be small but its transformation from bulb-shape to star, to saucer, to support its delicate spore sac is truly remarkable.

Have you seen any this winter?
