I have been part of a Gundam watch group for over two years. I've helped design patches, helped plan events, organized manga read-alongs and also watched every single bit of UC Gundam media. I just now realized I am part of a Fandom.
If you say that fanfiction, cosplay, and club organising and membership aren't real fandom, but bloviating grievance IS real fandom, then almost all fandoms skew VERY strongly male and unusually right-wing.
