Things I can now add to my list of life experiences: Getting stuck in a lift and needing to call an emergency engineer out. Thankfully I was only trapped for about 20 minutes as the engineer was already on his way to campus to fix a different lift.

Today is turning rapidly turning into a blast synthwave into my brain to get through mindless tasks. Except I forgot to pick up my good headphones and I'm in an open plan office space so instead I'm relying on caffeine to fuel my focus and awaiting the inevitable crash.

With The Words We Leave Behind at the printers I'm finally getting around to working on SSBN again by running through a series of test draws that have already highlighted how rough the current ashcan is.

I hate the moment before putting in a new print order, the impossible to avoid thought of "have I screwed something up and am about to waste a lot of money" is absolutely terrifying.

Does anyone else have a cat that likes to play fetch? We're assuming Halley lived with a dog at some point given how often she drops toys at our feet and chases after them.

My non-fiction reading at the moment might not be that light-hearted but at least it's a bargain

Someone in Sacramento must have spent a lot of money bidding for the World's Strongest Man finals and I just can't understand why when they can't even fill the tiny stands they set up for it.

Seeing people posting 10 games they'd like to play in 2026 and here I am thinking I'll be lucky to play 10 sessions, let alone 10 different games

Life has been rather stressful the last couple of months and I've not managed to do much painting so it felt good to just sit down and get some work in on these two minis

@kehaar.bsky.social still good for the landlord this evening?

Since it's doing the rounds my games of the year are:
Run: Star Trek 2e
Played: Star Trek 2e, Dragonbane, Eat the Reich

And that's it outside of playtests as part of designing.

Blood In The Margins is dark academia, Wretched & Alone style. You and your friends killed someone on campus. Now you're journaling about who they were, why they had to die, and how you're covering it up while investigators close in.

It may be wet and windy on the Wirral but had a good mooch around the Brimstage Christmas market followed by popping into Bebington to visit the trio of Bulwark Games, Kraken Comics and Paper & Word - a great combination all in close proximity.

picture the scene, Christmas is over, familial duties performed & now you're listlessly lying on a sofa with nothing to fill the void but wondering what day is bins

& then you remember you treated yourself to a bundle of mags filled with everything from tabletop games to fantasy metal, hallelujah!

Hey, @whodo.bsky.social , I’ve just started reading your SSBN ashcan and I have to say it is oozing with atmosphere, and feels really serious (and I’m only on p10!)

I’m really interested in seeing where you go with this. #ttrpg #historical
