Literally it's so infuriating. The games have never really handled heavy topics super well but outright refusing to address them in a world that has been built around established systems of oppression was quite possibly the worst way they could have dealt with it. Like it's not important enough

"The slavery is bad that's obvious" as why the game didn't tackle the theme of it with any depth is as the last nail in the coffin to me. I don't think it's obvious HOW bad slavery was at ALL every day I find out how something BASIC in my life will root back to Slavery.
It's absolutely crazy to me that almost every person I knew who was into dragon age before veilguard came out doesn't interact w the franchise anymore bc veilguard was that bad...
