In case you missed it, the Liberal Party running in this national election is not “far left” as some would have you believe, but is centrist at best. And Carney has a long history of conservative financial policies.
This ISN’T Trudeau’s Liberal Party.

Apple is really bullish on the $USD with their new iPhone 16e pricing at $900 CDN, 50% more than the US price.
In Canada the iPhone 16 Pro is 45% more expensive than in the US, and the iPhone 16 41%
Odd, since we don’t have a 10% tariff on Chinese products like they do
So much for the budget option!

The only thing more troubling than the amount of algorithmically driven misinformation clouding our democracies now is the amount of people who either have no idea, or somehow feel they’re uniquely immune to it.

Canadian research discoveries funded by non-profit and government mechanisms led to the development of:

1. Insulin

2. Polio vaccine

3. Cardiac pacemakers

4. Stem cell treatments

5. Ozempic

How many people are alive in the world today because of this funding?
Nearly every medicine we benefit from started with NIH-funded research. Early discovery work starts in academia.

Immunotherapies?
Gene therapy for rare diseases?
Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s medicines?
Vaccines?
Novel cancer treatments?
Psychiatric medicines?

You betcha.

Does the Episcopal church have a process for sainthood? If so, I assume it’s already underway for Rev. Mariann Edgar Budde.

A huge missed opportunity that #apple hasn’t created a kids’ Apple Watch. Basic functions, 1 wk battery, smaller size, etc. Parents strap AirTags to kids for safety instead. Execs said parents should hand down old Watches, but those are Huge on kids & must be charged 1-2x a day due to old batteries.
