People are watching like ‘Cute cat plays with yarn’ for 3 hours, a lot more than they’re watching anyone else’s music video. And it’s because it makes them happy, it makes them laugh, whatever. I wanted my video to make people laugh

Dems forced vote on release of Epstein files. Dems forced healthcare to be front and center issue. Dems are fighting GOP on the gerrymandering front. When we fight smartly, we win. Keep fighting.

Cure for anyone feeling sympathy for or wanting to embrace the 'new and improved' MTG is to see the video of her outside the Capitol relentlessly harassing then-teenage David Hogg one year after surviving the Parkland shooting. Bigger question is will other GOP reps stand up to 47. Probably not.

"Some very fine people on both sides"

He goes out of his way to not offend White Nationalists.
The president said that if Tucker Carlson wants to interview Nick Fuentes, whose followers see themselves as working to preserve America’s white, Christian identity, then “people have to decide.” Trump did not criticize Carlson or Fuentes. https://to.pbs.org/4nZuYGm

Dana Bash on #CNN just started a segment by saying Democrats are in disarray. Are you fucking kidding me?!?

Please keep posting about the breakup between Trump and Marjorie Taylor Greene. It's like the best Housewives season ever.

And probably not going to get better given the president shit all over controllers who had to stay home with a sick kid or drive uber to put food on the table. Betting there will be record levels of resignations.

Is there any Dem person, judge or prop that did not win tonight? Don't think so. So tonight....we feel hope (so desperately needed). Tomorrow, realize this will scare the hell out of the GOP & they will ramp up their efforts to do literally anything to win next year. Stay on your toes everyone.

Elaine Chao on CNN discussing Cheney. I'm no fan, but whomever did her hair really did her nasty.

Is there anything this man actually knows or considers in his 'lane'?
House Speaker Mike Johnson said Monday that he's not "100% sure" if active duty service members will be paid at the end of the week, as the government shutdown continues.

Hey #CNN, instead of replaying Smerconish's interview with Eric Trump filled with unchecked lies, maybe cover the biggest protest in US history?

Guarantee no one in the WH is rushing to show 47 this. The fact that Obama didn't mention his name will drive him nuts.

47 is going to be p.o.'d that the end of the Israel/Gaza war, if it happens, wasn't sooner so he could get this. Not because of the lives of so many people that could have been saved, but because of the prize he covets so dearly.

A black woman with immigrant parents who put herself through Harvard and had to work twice as hard to succeed in her profession. For the VP to tell her to shut up and be grateful for what this country has given her...the racism and misogyny are palpable.
also, in keeping with Vance’s view of american identity, only white people are fully American with the right to critique or dissent. nonwhites must show proper gratitude (supporting Trump or marrying JD Vance) before they can speak critically of the country (in approved ways, of course)
Weaponized gratitude is a key tool in the abuser's toolkit. The goal is to convince the victim that they owe the abuser so much, they should feel guilty for wanting to complain.

After a month and 3 versions of a from scratch sourdough starter, my 3rd passed the float test. She will know be known as Izzy. I know that only a small percentage of you will know what that means, but trust me, I deserve a lot of high-fives.

So 47, Vance and all the other speakers at the Kirk Memorial are going to take the opportunity to unify the country, right? Yeah, I'm not holding my breath nor will I be watching.

Good, no one for Trump to endorse.
Georgia’s Brad Raffensperger, the Republican secretary of state who rejected Donald Trump’s call to help overturn the state’s 2020 election results, said Wednesday that he’s running for governor in 2026. https://to.pbs.org/4nzoWN1
Republican Brad Raffensperger to run for Georgia governor after defying Trump over 2020 election
Raffensperger is likely to aim his appeal at Republicans who have at times been lukewarm on Trump.

It is also more accessible / relatable than some of the other nominees. It follows a tradition of what used to be really quality network shows (i.e. Chicago Hope, NYPD Blue.
so grateful The Pitt won. one of the best shows I’ve seen. end of the pilot episode made me burst into tears.

I hope studios come around to understand why this show works so well: brilliant cast, strong writers room with a large order, and fearlessness to tackle topics we fear the most in story.

Pointless and crass when the countdown was happening while an award winner was thanking his deceased mother.
Like I said: they were always gonna give them kids money. The countdown clock bit was pointless. #emmys

This one is run by a Republican, so the headline is untrue. Others funded by billionaire Charles Munger, Jr. Likely to be the most expensive proposition ever in our country. I get it is not the way we want it to be, but it's the only extinguisher we have to fight the inferno we are facing right now.
I SERIOUSLY doubt this is a locally inspired movement to protect California from gerrymandering. The Governor’s proposal sure must have someone upset. I could wall paper my house with all the flyers they’ve sent me.

Oh jeez, 47 gets booed and Obama won another Emmy. Could be a really rough (even rougher) week.

Not that it doesn't happen on some level every day, but watching the RFK, Jr. Senate hearing is just such a stark example of what an absolutely looney, fucked up time we are living in.
