It somewhat makes sense but I always laugh when top lists come out at the beginning of December like there’s still 8% of the year left! But then I remember that most critics have gotten previews of (or seen at festivals) December releases so for the most part they’re not forgotten

The thing that keeps getting me about all the pieces fretting about Bluesky being too insular is that the argument seems to be that those of us who are most likely to be abused by the right (BIPOC people, trans people, queer people, etc) must put up with being abused for the sake of public discourse

I just had that awful moment where my brain switched from “yay it’s the weekend” to “okay now you have to do all the things you’ve been putting off this week.” Luckily music cured that. To the person who smiled at me in camaraderie as I was vibing out - thank you!

Bluesky peeps who want to keep up on when new movies hit streaming: Be sure to add this account to your follow list. It tracks titles throughout their digital run-- from premium rental, to discounted rental, to when they hit streamers like Netflix or Prime. Great, great resource.
If nothing interests you this week, no worries. Next week has more great stuff. We'll have our deep dive preview on whentostream.com tomorrow, and our weekly preview here Sunday.

This is all good advice & *ALSO* fellow journalists & also prob some civilians: Use Signal more. I have used the encrypted communication app Signal a *lot* for years in work/life & I think many of us should use it even more, especially for work with sources & sensitive convos. Something to consider.
It's always good to be prepared besties.
