TSA expects this Sunday to be one of their busiest days of all time. The end of the shutdown helped with some concerns around flight delays, but now we’re back to our regularly scheduled issues.
Is air travel back to normal after the government shutdown?
While airlines are recovering from the shutdown, they still have staffing shortages even in normal environments.

Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy in their first proper team up, DUCK SOUP (no relation). They play, ahem, gentlemen of leisure on the run from the forest service, which is attempting to press the homeless into fighting fires. The basic plot was later remade in their talkie ANOTHER FINE MESS.

Apparently it’s a crime to remind military members to follow the law and refuse illegal orders (something that it is ingrained in basic) and the pentagon can recall you into the service to discipline you. However, the pentagon will not prosecute you for dodging the draft five times.

Since we are talking about pies...

MR. FLIP (1909) is often listed as having the first cinematic pie in the face but I found evidence of pies being deployed as early as 1901.

Capital flows to the energy sector are set to rise in 2025 to USD 3.3 trillion.

Around USD 2.2 trillion is going collectively to renewables, nuclear, grids, storage, low-emissions fuels, efficiency and electrification, twice as much as the USD 1.1 trillion going to oil, natural gas and coal.

Court demands end to unjustified warrantless arrests, restricting a tool ICE frequently uses to detain immigrants
Unless reversed on appeal, it is likely to place a severe restriction on ICE’s operations in Colorado.

The value of the U.S. dollar has been falling for much of the year, so why is it going back up now? Delays in the Fed’s cuts to interest rates may be playing a role.
Why the dollar's value has been picking up recently
The dollar’s value plummeted in the first half of the year, largely thanks to the uncertainty caused by Trump’s trade policies. But in recent months, it’s been regaining some of those losses.
