I was a small part of the project to acquire this sweet new bike lane sweeper through Liveable Kirkland. This baby hooks up to a standard Burley hitch and can both pick up and also push aside debris. I'm looking forward to taking it for a spin and helping clear some of our local bike lanes! 🚴🧹 ✨

Now THIS is doing an LLM the right way, and should be required of all LLMs. This also implies that it IS possible to credit (and remunerate) the source material that is ingested (stolen?) by the LLMs.

This seems like a sweet way to shed light on the folks that keep a community safe and smooth running, whose work may otherwise remain invisible. I can't help but think how useful this would have been to have a US Government Worker edition of these cards..

We don’t want this creepy incel future.

You know what would improve birth rates, maternal mortality rates and be MUCH cheaper?

Universal healthcare.
Paid parental leave.
Affordable childcare.
“Tech Bro” Brian Armstrong says the “IVF clinic of the future” will:
* “make eggs from skin or blood cells”
* choose the embryo that best matches what you want…”
* make further edits for disease prevention, or enhancement”
* Use “Artificial Wombs”

Gross.
Senator Jim Banks (R) isn’t sorry he told a fired federal worker “he probably deserved it”.

He went on to say the worker was “complaining about losing a left-wing woke job in the federal government that should have never been a job to begin with”.

The job was helping people with disabilities.

Got my kid a Tin Can phone and she LOVES it. Really cool project started by a West Seattle dad (and family biker!). It’s basically a VOIP phone that can only call/receive from pre-approved numbers or other Tin Can kids. Uses any old touch tone phone. I think this idea’s a winner. tincan.kids

I've said it before and I'll say it again, we need to replace the "Artificial Intelligence" moniker with "Simulated Intelligence". I feel like we aren't anywhere near real AI. Real AI would be able to incorporate new clock times on the energy of a few Snickers bars.
Just Because: The 10:10 Position of Hands is so Deeply Rooted that AI can't Generate Anything Different

As I use and peruse Bluesky, I cannot help but think to myself nothing excludes this platform from enshittification, even with federation. Someone will eventually have the urge to monetize and that is when it starts. Can anyone assuage me of this?
