H1-Bs are majority used for tech jobs. They are meant to undercut American workers and wages. This is why IT and software jobs have sky-high unemployment, yet they continue to bring the H1-Bs in. It’s the same situation in Canada too. The program needs to end. It was NEVER needed.
About 8,000 new H1Bs are issued every year for people in the medical field (doctors, dentists, nurses, etc.). A $100K fee will make those visas inviable. Ask the UK what happens when you can't access global talent in healthcare.

IMO it was a really good illustration of how worthless corporate Democrats are. There’s a lot of these in NY and we all know it - Chuck, Kirsten, Hochul. They are bought and paid for politicians. Primary them all out with young Democratic Socialists like Zohran, AOC, etc.
