Well I guess I’ll be rooting for Scotland (and Canada obvs) in the World Cup. I think those lads already won tbh.

Kinda annoyed that a years-in-the-making series-ending book has a final boss reveal right before the end, and it’s…

Private Equity.

I mean. Just, not a surprise.

Spotify's HQ in L.A. has a 150,000 sq ft campus. Now those buildings have light projections showing men in balaclavas with text like:

"Spotify, Don't Stream Fascism"

"Tell Spotify, Get ICE Ads OFF THE AIR"

Reddit: "Spotify is facing backlash for running recruitment ads for ICE on its service."

Hi Bluesky 👋

Small life update: I’m at the centre of a multimillion dollar lawsuit in Alberta launched by a failed candidate for Jason Kenney’s UCP

It may be the longest and most expensive media trial in Canadian history

I’m ready to go public about it and I want to share more details with you 🧵

I chipped in to the @PressProgress.ca legal defence so journalists can keep holding the powerful to account. This case could set a chilling precedent across Canada. If you can, please donate and share. pressprogress.ca/journalism-defence/donate

We’re launching a bold plan to make high-speed rail the fastest, more sustainable way to travel across Europe by 2040.

It’s a concrete timeline to remove bottlenecks, unlock investment, and harmonise rail systems ⬇️

1. In the wake on Mamdani’s win, we’ll see a lot more far right anti-urban sentiment. Here’s a thread on its roots and evolution.

The idea that the city is evil and corrupt, and the countryside innocent and pure, goes back a long way: to Theocritus in Alexandria, and to the Old Testament. 🧵

J'espère que la victoire de Zohran Mamdani va inspirer QS et Projet Montréal de laisser tomber le centrisme mou et faussement rassembleur pour redevenir des partis qui assument leurs idées de gauche. 👇

Partly because so many formerly leftwing parties have turned to the right, there's a lot of confusion about what right and left mean in politics. I hope this helps:

The right defends economic power.

The left resists economic power.

This reminds of the conversation around congestion pricing in New York City and all the hand-wringing about the "poor" commuters driving into the city, when the reality is that the ones driving into New York are the higher-income folks.

The traffic in Boston is from suburban white people.
Imagine how much anti-immigration brainrot you must have to think the problem with Boston traffic is "illegals" commuting into the city from Lowell or Stoughton in their $80,000 Ford F-3500s to work construction jobs downtown. Oh wait that's like, every contractor I see in the city. 🙄
