I hear the dumb feature of $cashtags has launched in bluesky. I haven't updated this app yet will I see it anyway?

This is an amazing thing to show how integration and interoperability can look like across the atmosphere and also useful to show to the fediverse or other type places.

💯 Thanks a million to the Bluesky team for the integration and to the @stream.place and atproto communities for always being in our corner. Onward!
stream.place links are now supported in the Live Now beta!
OTA update rolling out today.

love what @iame.li's building. when you stream there, your LIVE status on Bluesky is auto-updated.

very cool demonstration of how Atmosphere apps can interconnect and benefit each other.

Finally listening to this episode, was happy to hear Jay give @anisota.net a shoutout at 16 minute mark.
With centralized social media platforms, users can only push for change by lobbying companies or governments.

@jay.bsky.team, CEO of @bsky.app, explains why open social is about giving people the tools to build solutions themselves, rather than just asking for them.

Ep with @rabble.nz, out now.

where are all those people with “Free Link” pfps?
Any blacksky.app users who get banned from bsky should try logging into the staging.blacksky.community website. Looking to get feedback + identify any lingering bugs. Email support@blacksky.app with those.

Missing data from non-Blacksky hosted accounts + older posts is expected

Chive integrates with @semble.app collections, @leaflet.pub reading lists, and @whtwnd.com blogs.

When someone adds your paper to a Semble collection or cites it in a WhiteWind blog post, Chive automatically creates a backlink. All of this happens over the AT Protocol firehose.

Bridge issues abound. I signed up on @semble.so
January 13, 2026 at 10:28 AM
ok I signed up (aka signed in with my already account here) and its quite good I could actually see using this... I saw it being compared to are.na before and now I understand why.
Do you like bookmarking things and losing them in the Bookmarks hole?

Or not knowing what your Bluesky peeps are bookmarking

No?

Then try semble.so (built on ATProtocol) and use social bookmarking to learn from the academic hivemind.

Was looking at a list of people in the Nostria app and saw some people that only had one or the other
January 12, 2026 at 6:12 PM
thanks! I see this post, but it seems I can't do it on the web yet cause they have't added this feature
You can now use "show more like this" and "show less like this" in the For You feed.

(this is being rolled out so you may need to update your Bluesky app)

Here is how it works in For You 🧵
January 12, 2026 at 4:46 PM
looks like now Nostr supports @username@server.tld and raw @server.tld usernames which is the first I have seen, maybe we get a convergence
January 12, 2026 at 4:40 PM
ok gotta say the For You feed is really doing an amazing job... if I want it to start learning about more of my interests do I need to just go search for some specific posts aligned with various things and then like them or share them?

From what I understand about GPS that seems impossible to "turn it off" as the GPS satellites are sending a "dumb signal" that's just like a time code and the calculations are done on the device itself to triangulate itself. So you wouldn't be able to turn off the signal in localized areas like that

Many claims Iran has completely jammed Starlink. This seems confused. Starlink terminals on ground individually connect with satellites in space. You can target terminals (not easy) but you cannot jam them en masse—else Russia would've done it. I know from sources that some Starlink ARE working.

On some scale it seems like there is, really curious to hear more about how it's actually working tho
an Iranian fork of Bitchat called #noghteha was launched a week ago and is currently the top downloaded free app in Iran (on Google Play) at the moment at 73k downloads

Congrats! 🎉

Should we be expecting more repos to be popping up on your tangled soon, or will you be keeping the bulk of the app closed?

Also hoping to see a ‘Spark, Skylight and Bluesky: Interop and divergences’ writeup so I know what I’m getting into as a prospective creator.
