Colleague made the very astute observation that this freshman class is the first class completely Common Core-educated, from kindergarten to high school graduation. As soon as the words were uttered, everything started making sense.

To be a U.S. Senator is to be an institutionalist. Even Bernie Sanders cares more about his role and friendships in the senate than he does about his ideological project. If ideology came first he would lead the charge on ousting Schumer. But that’s his friend.

The negotiated rulemaking session on defining professional programs essentially just added clinical psychology to the bare minimum required by law, even though the law gives more leeway to include other programs. This will end up in court.
