So I guess I should post about this here so everyone sort of knows what's happening. The Child is going back to the hospital, which requires spending days in a different hospital. Meanwhile the state may grace us with a real solution but in the meantime we had no stability.

I have once again renewed my people's cultural tie with the Chinese people by enjoying a meal from a locally owned, family run business. The 10yo son of the family was working the register and was adorable and precocious in equal measure.

Episode audio has been updated. Apologies again.
December 23, 2025 at 3:36 PM
Hey all, I want to apologize for the audio being so low. I've made a few attempts to boost the gain over the years but with the dynamic ad inserts this is BAD. Usually I consider a lack of professionalism an aesthetic for indie podcasting but I am not trying to defend you intentionally.

For anyone who has actually interacted with the homeless population, particularly in the Providence area, the fact that one of them broke the Brown shooting case isn't hugely surprising. So much of the fear and mistrust is comically/tragically misplaced collective guilt.

"To put the horror at Brown in some additional context: Providence is exceedingly unused to gun violence. It is a city of almost 200,000 people with only *two* homicides this entire year, until tonight, down from 11 last year."

In today's episode we run through the election of Gregory the 7, watch Henry do something clever and seemingly break up the Saxon rebellion, all while Milan is in total chaos.

There is, as of right now, no coverage of this protest on the WaPo website or in their @washingtonpost.com feed.

So, if you (you reading this) want people to SEE this protest, you must share it.

I'm just gonna say it. I think the shit we had to read in school had a pretty damn good batting record. Great Gatsby, Lord of the Flies, King Lear, To Kill A Mockingbird, and Huck Finn all have highly salient themes today.
