Why should I watch something that a director didn't even bother to make?

Always felt like great fodder for one of those acting exercises where you emphasize a different word every time you say the line. It is right to give HIM thanks and praise? It IS right to give him thanks and praise!
"it is right to give him thanks and praise" was always the funniest part of catholic mass to me. a bunch of people murmuring "retweet"

me? oh yeah, fine. I'm doing great. just sort of left my body for a second to observe the current moment and my place in it from a high angle, sort of like what I imagine you'd see from a spy satellite? but one that can look through time? but yeah, I'll have that report done by the end of the day

the best thing is how well these folks line up with common high school marching band stereotypes. look at all these white nerds in glasses rounding out the low brass. look at this drummer who's too cool for gloves. they are my family and i love them
brass solidarity band performing “stand by me” in the streets of whittier next to alex pretti’s memorial. the crowd started chanting “the people united will never be defeated” so they incorporated it into the song. i love minneapolis

Described this post to my husband and we started riffing on the idea of teleporting yourself to Text World by ritually chanting Lorem Ipsum placeholder text

It’s not helping with my deadline but it IS very delightful to think about
ok stay with me on this one... sometimes you have writer's block because you're not in Text World. you have to read until you're back in Text World. if you don't read, you're writing in the real world. sentences won't feel right or they'll look goofy. not in Text World though

OK is it just me or has there been a huge increase in the rate at which internet/telecoms-based infastructure outages seem to occur lately

Deborah L Scott had a really hard job of designing garments for a civilization that doesn't care about whether or not their tits are showing which, nevertheless, would not ACTUALLY reveal any tits to moviegoers, and for that reason alone she deserves her Avatar: Fire and Ash costume nomination

It’s disgusting that Tony Kushner had to stand up to a man who was saying Renee Good got what was coming to her. But without that happening we might never have known that he needlepoints pillows with scenes from The Shining
As long as I'm sharing Tony's non-writing work, these are two of my favorites--a birthday present he made for me in 2018. Needless to say, I treasure these.

Even if you already think you have video/gif autoplay turned off, check it again. I KNOW I turned mine off after the Kirk video started circulating months ago and somehow it’s back on again.

If you write a story about a bunch of engineers jacking each other off that’s hard sci-fi
If you write a story featuring weed smoking elves, that's high fantasy
If you write a story featuring an octopus, that's pulpo fiction. 😌
