We are sad to announce that we have been told by Wizards that they will no longer support us with either funding or invites to Organized Play events.
Without this support - especially the invites - it is impossible for us to continue, and there will be no more VML seasons going forward.

Wanted to add to this thread so it doesn’t get buried: please don’t blame any humans working at Wizards directly. We have worked with many of them and everyone has been warm and helpful. From the outside, we don’t know what kind of pressure they’re under. 💜
For what it’s worth, I don’t at all think this decision is on anyone who we have worked with directly at Wizards, who are excellent people who have gone out of their way to help us over the years.

Congratulations to @moonsage.bsky.social, the winner of VML Champs 2024! Cam was the overnight leader coming into Day 2 and topped it off with the championship title playing Gruul Prowess. Cam and finalist @gdinut.bsky.social have both now qualified for their first Pro Tour!!
