Ultimate Endgame Issue 2 was devastating. Tony Stark is my favorite character, and seeing him in a tumultuous place is difficult.
The Maker is even more dangerous than he was before. This is a war across history and time. Killmonger joins the fray and rocks.

The Amazing Spider-Man Issue 21 was a fine finale. Norman's time as a hero was a neat way for him to confront his past, but I'm ready for Peter Parker to return.

The Amazing Spider-Man Issue 21 was a fine finale. Norman's time as a hero was a neat way for him to confront his past, but I'm ready for Peter Parker to return.

Absolute Superman Issue 16 might be the winner this week. It's really cooking. This version of Hawkman is menacingly cruel. This opposes Superman's innate goodness, and he doesn't back down; he hits back hard.
I'm also invested in Lois and Jimmy's Daily Planet story.

Absolute Green Lantern Issue 11 is good, but I wish it were split more evenly with the space storyline. I want more than the few drips we're getting.
I enjoy Jo Mullein, and I'm interested in seeing where Simon Baz is gonna go. Tomar-Re is one of my faves so I hope he shows out.

DC K.O. Knightfight Issue 4 was a bittersweet story where Bruce Wayne gets what he wants the most: his Bat-Family.
As a grandpa, he sees the good he's done reflected in his lineage, but he's still forced to confront the truth that he must fight his own son. The war wages on.

This was a hard issue for me because Tim Drake is my favorite Robin, but storywise it makes sense, and I hope it leads to bigger and better things.
Bruce is furious at Damian's mistake, and it reminds me of old-school Batman, and the Monster Men fight was visually delicious.

This is one of my all-time favorite fight scenes from season 1. So many moving parts and so well-executed
Stargirl is one of the best superhero shows because it draws inspiration from the comic books. Rather than running from history, it embraces the legacy of the Justice Society of America. The cast is perfect, it's fun with Golden Age brightness counterbalanced with dark themes.

As a Black struggling artist, I relate to Simon Williams' story. His attention to detail was excessive at times, but it came from a place of care and to communicate that which can appear nebulous: emotions. Wonder Man inspired him, and as cheesy as it seemed, the effect was real.
