There’s a young southern woman on tt doing an experiment: calling churches & asking if they can help her get baby formula, saying she can’t afford it. Of the 30+ she’s called, nearly every church has said no. The ones who said yes were:

I'm registered D from a staid blue state I have no idea about their online platforms nor do I care. I'm running with the left leaning gunboats & pirate ships that are doing the real work outside of party central. IMO "party central" is the problem with the Democrats.

I live in a fairly wealthy state and already our food banks are stretched to the limit. IDK how poor states are going to cope.
My experience in reporting on food insecurity is that other than households that are reliant on SNAP, there is no one more freaked out about SNAP cuts than food bank administrators.
ppl are bringing up food banks and yea absolutely you should give generously to food banks and panhandlers but like you cant mutual aid state capacity. If every food bank in the us got their annual revenue already, saved 100% of it, and no overhead besides food they might be able to provide 2 months

5K turn out at Hartford CT today. 6K at Stamford. Dozens of other protests around the state. It was peaceful, great signs and energy. Granted it was about half composed of "gran-tif" the rest were folks in costumes, families, dogs, musicians & standing near us, part of a cheer squad.
