This line graph illustrates the percentage change in agency staff levels from the previous year for nine major U.S. federal scientific and health organizations between the fiscal years 2016 and 2025. The agencies tracked include the CDC, Department of Energy, EPA, FDA, NASA, NIH, NIST, NOAA, and NSF. For the majority of the timeline between 2016 and 2023, the agencies show relatively stable fluctuations, generally staying within a range of +5% to -5% change per year. However, there is a dramatic and uniform plummet starting in the 2024–25 period. Every agency depicted shows a sharp downward trajectory, with staffing losses ranging from approximately -15% to over -25%. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) shows the most significant decline, dropping to roughly -26%, while the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) shows the least severe but still substantial drop at approximately -15%.

239 years ago, William Herschel discovered Oberon & Titania, the largest Uranian moons. All but a few of Uranus' moons are named after characters from Shakespearean plays. Oberon and Titania pay homage to the fairy king and queen in "A Midsummer Night's Dream"

The image shows Saturn's two moons, Titan and Rhea, apparently overlapping. In the foreground, Rhea, the smaller of the two, occupies the lower part of the image. It is spherical in appearance, with a grey, cratered surface. Titan is significantly larger. It has a distinctly different appearance: it is shrouded in a thick, opaque atmosphere that is reddish-orange in color, giving it a warm, uniform, almost hazy hue. The deep black background of space accentuates the contrast between the cool grey of Rhea and the warm orange of Titan that dominates the scene.

It appears as a large, round sphere with horizontal bands in shades of brown, tan, and white. A bright white oval storm sits on the lower right side. A faint ring is visible alongside Europa, one of its satellites, which appears very bright with a star-shaped artifact. Top right: Saturn. It has a pale beige surface with soft horizontal shading.
